ONGOING MEASURES

I have re-introduced a rigorous hygiene and cleanliness practices in every aspect of the operation, strictly following the governments guidelines.

EQUIPMENT CLEANING

The disinfecting wipes used to clean the equipment after every class are alcohol-based and therefore highly effective at combatting germs.

After every class, ALL the equipment will be thoroughly cleaned – reformers, springs, foot bar, reformer box, head cushions, Pilates circle, stretch bands, wipes canister, ankle weights if used, etc.

HAND SANITISER DISPENSERS

There will be dispensers of alcohol-based sanitisers in the studio to sanitise your hands before and after class.

SANITISING OF HIGH TOUCH AREAS

There will also be extra attention to disinfecting all high-touch areas such as door handles, and benchtops at the end of each class.

HAND STRAP SANITISATION

We will be deep cleaning Reformer hand straps daily.

SINGLE-USE GLOVES

Single-use rubber gloves are available in the studio, free of charge if you wish to use them.

NON-SLIP MAT HYGIENE

Personal non-slip mats will be made available from the studio, should you wish to purchase your own.

REDUCED PERSONAL CONTACT

Physical corrections and modifications will only be used when required for safety purposes and hand sterilisation by the instructor will take place immediately afterwards.

Generally, I will use verbal and visual cues only, to help minimise any health risks. You will continue to receive the same amazing workout experience that you are used to, only safer for all, given the current circumstances.

AIR PURIFYING

The Studio is fitted with the Mitsubishi Electric MSZ series of air conditioners which feature the brand’s Plasma Duo filter system, comprised of the Plasma Deodorising Filter and the Plasma Air Purifying Filter. The system is claimed to provide “state-of-the-art air purification and deodorisation filters that remove unwanted odours and impurities in the air”.

The deodorising filter is claimed to remove chemical substances such as ammonia, methyl mercaptan, trimethylamine and hydrogen sulphide at the nano-level (1/1,000,000 of a millimetre) while the air purifying filter removes any substances like fine house dust, pollen, bacteria and viruses. In addition, negative ions are generated for their relaxing and soothing effects.
